F.A Cup Final 1953

F.A Cup Final 1953 match was held on Saturday of 26 September 1953 at HQ Malaya field ground in Kuala Lumpur. This final match was between Tamilians' Physical Culture Association (TPCA) Club against Public Works Department (PWD) Sports Club. TPCA Club was the defending champion for three consecutive years since 1950. Edwin Dutton and Syed Hussain from PWD Sports Club were among the star players played in this final match. Unfortunately, star players cannot guaranteed the winning of its club in this tournament.

The first TPCA Club goal scored by Shanmuganathan. Then, Stanislaus from PWD Sports Club scored an equalizer. However, the equalizer did not last longer after Shanmuganthan from TPCA Club scored his second goals. After that, Pachymuttu from TPCA Club add another goal and made TPCA Club lead by 3-1 scores against PWD Sports Club. Again, Shanmuganathan from TPCA Club scored his third goals. Nevertheless, two minutes before the final whistle, Syed Hussain from PWD Sports Club managed to scored another goal for PWD Sports Club. TPCA Club won this final match by scoring 4-2 against PWD Sports Club and defending its champion title for four consecutive years since 1950 until 1953.
