However, in this final match, Selangor won the Malaya Cup 1961 with the scores of 4-2 against Perak. One of the Perak player who played in this match, Yusoff Bakar (goalkeeper) said that although Perak got the stronger team in this match, however Selangor team was the strongest among all team with the solid line up of players.
