The 27th HMS Malaya Cup Final 1953

In this 27th HMS Malaya Cup Final 1953, its a final match between Singapore (represent the Southern region) vs Penang (represent the Northern region). This match was held in Chinese Assembly Hall ground at Ipoh, Perak and Penang won by 3-2 scores against Singapore. This match was held before the independence of Malaya on 31 August 1957.

Singaporean players consists of Chu Chee seng, R. J. Davids, Soh Teow Keng, I. J. Vass, Harith Bin Omar, Ho Hin Weng, Aw Boon Seong, Chia Boon Leong, Awang Bakar, Ismail Yusoff, Jimmy Tan, Seet Yew Chang, R. G Boniface, Yassin and Ibrahim Mansoor.
